The form and placement of the horizontal elements is based upon the equal sign. The top horizontal is a white solid wax block. The lower horizontal is a steel cage containing a copper sheet and slate fragements. A spotlight aimed at the copper sheet reflects the illusion of static fire onto the wall below the wax.
