Body Bag (male)

1995
cast hydrocal
23" tall

The piece refers to the classical (idealized) human torso. A thin fabric bag was stuffed with large "La Paz" stones and manipulated into distorted musculature. A rubber mold was taken of the fabric forms from which a hollow hydrocal (plaster) original was cast. The detail of the casting is flawless down to the threads of the original sewn bag.
