Land Heart is a maquette intended for a sculpture that will function as a bird habitat. Cast bronze branches are woven through the pages of expanded stainless steel. The branches serve as nesting and perching sites. The boulder mound serves to anchor the pages of steel while contributing to the food supply by sheltering insects.
